LAKE COMO
Lake Como, with its total surface area of 146 square kilometres, is the third largest lake in Italy after Lakes Garda and Maggiore. The lake is of glacial origin and it plunges to a depth of 410 metres (approx. 1,345 feet) making it the deepest lake in Europe. Lake Como is shaped like an inverted Y and therefore has three distinct branches: to the north the Colico branch, to the south east the Lecco branch and to the south west the most famous branch, that of Como. Lake Como boasts the longest perimeter of all the lakes due to this distinctive upside down Y shape – a total of 171 kilometres.
The landscape of Lake Como combines mountains, forests, flower-filled parks and clear waters overlooked by dreamy villas and villages to explore. The best way to visit? By boat. A boat taxi system connects all the main resorts on the two branches of the lake. In the centre is Bellagio, the pearl of the Lario, but it is not the only jewel on these shores.

FRANCIACORTA WINE EXPERIENCE
Franciacorta wine tour brings you to the discover of this macro region located east of Como and Milan just before Brescia, in the Lombardy region. The grapevine area is about 2000 hectares and the accepted grapes in the disciplinary guide are Chardonnay, Pinot nero and, with a maximum of 50%, Pinot bianco, while the only allowed wine making procedure is the “metodo classico” or Champenoise.
